Howdy!

 Week 5 is in the books!

Secondary students are invited back to the gym tonight for a party! What kind of party? I'm not quite sure how to word it but there will be lots of fun, food, music, etc. It's my last few moments as the youth leader at New Life Assembly and it's been a blast so we'll go out with a boom and have some fun.
We'll have a nacho bar (nachos and all the toppings), a breakfast bar (bacon, pancakes, bacon, waffles, bacon, etc), and tea and coffee.
There will be a lip sync battle (with prizes), a Dr. Seuss rap battle (with prizes), and just some fun things.


Pre-Algebra:
Well done this week y'all! We'll be going through a lot more of the measurements in this chapter this upcoming week. No homework this week. We'll be doing another quiz this next week and preparing for a test the following week as well.

WV History:Today we had our 5 county quiz of the first five B counties. The students had to list them, their county seats and locate them on the map. Several students took the challenge to beat me in listing them and Glen and Emma beat me. I now need to come up with a reward/prize. I tried but went blank.
The next five counties for Thursday the 27th are:
Cabell
Calhoun
Clay
Dodridge
Fayette

This weekend's homework is the blue boxes from Practice 2.1 on pg. 49-50.
This upcoming week we will be doing a quiz on section 1.8-1.10.We will also continue in chapter 2 with the equations.

Bible 7/8
I haven't had a chance to grade your written memory verses but for those who recited it, I am very proud of you! I think most of you did very well!
The next memory verse will be due on Monday, October 1st. Normally we quiz on Friday's but with Grandparents Day on the 28th, we have pushed the quiz date back.

For those who recited the memory verse.... great job! Proud of you! I haven't graded the written ones yet. Next memory verse is Micah 6:8. It will be a another Write or Recite (NOT fill in the blank.) It will be due Monday, October 1st. Normally it is Friday, but with Grandparents Day, we will push it back a little. You're welcome. 😀

25% Of The Way There

Grade cards came back this week for the first 9 weeks which means we are 25 % done with the school year. Incredible!  You all make my job a lot of fun!  There have been some changes to the schedule so we are going to run with it to see how it rolls. 2-22!

Hey  February is nearly done! It's been a long short month. For some reason it always tends to be like that. I can't wait for some sunshine. Fat Eddies opened today, Friday the 22nd, so spring and summer are on the horizon! 😁 Science 9/10:   No homework this weekend. 😁 I think that the lab today was pretty fun in figuring out speed. Pre-Algebra: Homework is pg. 210 question #4. You are making a rectangle graph. Please be sure to use a ruler and give specific lengths for showing the size of each portion. Also, be sure to label the graph. A graph tells information, you cannot just draw a box and put numbers in. You have to display information so that someone could ask you a question and you would be able to answer it according to the listed info. WV History: Congrats! Y'all did the Golden Horseshoe! Week 8

Hey! I hope you all have had a great 8th week! This is gonna be a quick post. Sorry it's late! Pre-Algebra Monday we'll be testing on chapter 1 & 2. We have gone over review in class today so hopefully y'all were paying attention. Be sure to bring a calculator as I will allow you to use it on the basic math stuff. WV History I was going to have a Quizlet study guide made up for chapter 5 because we will test on it Monday but I think we will just keep it open book so that should help you a bunch. Thursday we will take our next county quiz. For those of you who want to retake the last 5, you are able to redo it but you will have to do the next five as well (ten altogether). Angel made up a quizlet study guide for the 5 county bunches that you may want to use to help you study which county goes with which county seat.
