National Star Wars Day
Hey all!
Sorry this is a day late in posting... 8th grade and I were on a field trip yesterday.
It's achievement testing this week! It is only 7th, 8th, & 11th that will be testing on Tuesday & Wednesday. It will also only be for the first 3 periods of the day, so we will resume normal schedule at 4th period.
NLCA's "Rock the Test" Week
Tuesday: Put on Your Thinking Cap! *Wear your favorite hat.
Wednesday: Double Check Your Answers *Dress like a "double" and be twins with someone.
Thursday: Knock Our Sock Off! *Wear your favorite sandals.
NLCA TALENT SHOW
Thursday afternoon, in celebration that achievement testing is finally over for everyone, we will be having a talent show in the new gym. Students are encouraged to participate. There will be awards for the various age groups (Pre-K-2nd grade, 3rd-6th, 7th-12th). Students may share their talents on stage or their artwork in the foyer where we will set up a gallery.
There are forms in the office for students to fill out if they would like to participate. I would like final entries to be handed in by Tuesday if possible, so I can organize the acts into a schedule, etc.
Science 9/10:
Please be ready to turn in the review questions (1-5) from Review 15.1 that you were supposed to work on in your pre-assigned class on Friday and also turn in the take home quiz 35.
We will have science class on Monday but Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be achievement tests going on. I will have something prepared to keep you occupied, whether it is from chapter 15 or some fun things.
Pre-Algebra:
No HW this weekend. We will have a final review time on Monday and on Tuesday and Wednesday, you will have achievement testing.
WV History:
No HW this week. We will have history class each day this week because testing should be over by 4th period. This week will finish off our final history chapter and then the remaining days will be filled with a few other final projects.
Algebra 1:I gave you all a take home quiz to work on in class on Friday. In case you didn't get to finish that, it is due on Monday. We will get to have math class everyday this week because testing should be done by the time we have our class. We will continue in our statistics chapter.
Science 7/8:
I gave a take home quiz 33 for class work on Friday, in case you didn't get to turn it in, that is due Monday.
Health B:
Some of you may have finished book 5 already. Thank you for being diligent and asking to do work ahead. It will help for your final grade, the more there is to grade and get right. We will not have class on Thursday, as we will be having our school talent show.
